5 Acts of Kindness

Small acts of kindness can make a bigger impact than we think.

We often are so busy in our lives that we don’t care about others and miss the opportunities to show kindness towards people. But only if we realize how a small act of kindness can light up someone’s day, perhaps we will become more inclined to be kind with our fellow beings.

Be Kind!

In pursuit of making this world a kind place to live in, I dedicated a day of my life to show kindness to my fellow beings. I did ‘5 Acts of Kindness’ inside 24 hours and I am listing them below to encourage others to do the same.

My sister’s favorite chocolate

I was going to visit my sister at her home. She loves chocolates, so I bought her favorite chocolate on my way to her home. She was extremely happy and over the moon when I gave it to her.

My father’s car

When my father returned from work, I overheard him saying to my mother that he was not able to fuel up the car because of the rush at the fuel station. He had to leave early in the morning to fuel up the car before going to work. So, I fueled up the car for him.

Depressing story of my friend

My friend posted a depressing story on social media. So I reached out to him. I asked him about what’s killing him and listened to his problem. Tried to deviate his mind from it. Finally, I succeeded in cheering him up.

I used to teach private tuition there to her daughter. The aunty is a widow. I always use to listen to her and cheer her up to have patience. Last year I also celebrated her birthday. Now due to the pandemic, I missed the chance. So I decided to give her a surprise birthday celebration and to gain her precious prayers.

Even though she is the closest to my heart, she has hurt me the most. By taking me for granted. I was upset with her and I was ignoring her for days so I decided to forgive and give her another chance (She is like a small sister to me).

After spending a day of expressing kindness to the people, my heart was feeling light. When I went to bed, I was feeling a wave of satisfaction across my body. Not only I was able to spread happiness, but I also achieved something priceless i.e. peace of mind. Perhaps if we start being kind to our fellow beings, this world truly can be a better place to live in where we all can live in harmony.

I want to conclude by sharing an inspiring quote:

“Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.”
